A fleet of Ngapuhi war canoes arrive in Hauraki when their strongest warriors are away. Te Apurangi must face the invaders and protect his people.
The fall of Te Totora
1821
A Ngapuhi war party invades Hauraki in 1821 with a new weapon. A terrible twist of tactics still echoes today.
Famous feast of Taraia
1843
An agreement was made between Taraia of Ngati Tama Te Ra, and Te Whanake of Ngai te Rangi. All was well, until the agreement was broken.
